The main aim of this website is to create an awareness of the sports courses available to South African students. For this reason, when talking about nation – wide sports course providers, the choices become far more limited.
The simplest solution is to consider correspondence learning (also called Distance Learning).
This means you would be able to study your sports course from wherever in South Africa you are!
How does Distance Learning work?
Different colleges have different approaches and styles to distance learning. If you want to see a list of Colleges offering courses via distance learning, click on the tab labelled Colleges. Or alternatively, click here.
Distance learning courses allow students to keep their full time or part time employment, by giving the students the freedom to choose when they study. Some students prefer to study after work, in the evenings. Others prefer to get up and study before work in the mornings – the choice is entirely yours.
Once you register for your course with the college, you should receive your study material shortly, and then begin working through the course material on your own.
It helps to find a college which offers some student support. Distance learning can be very challenging and having the option to call a tutor or course expert can be really helpful.
